Lets Go Camping In Bright Victoria – Discover The Beauty Of Bright
By Advisor. Filed in Florida |Being someone who has seen a lot of the great places in in Bright, camping in Bright still is hands down one of the most fun things to do in Bright, Victoria (in my opinion). With the beautiful bush setting, surrounded by the highest peaks in Victoria, there’s simply no superior way to “rough it up” in Bright.
Camping in Bright comes in many different shapes and forms. For one, there are many great caravan parks and camping grounds available in the area, ranging anywhere from Bright to Porepunkah, and even out to Mt Beauty, each town has a luxury place to camp in style, most with available electricity, and amenities. Mt Beauty Holiday Park is one that I cherish, having spent nearly every single Christmas from the time I was a toddler until my early teens camped on the Kiewa River underneath the imposing bulk of Mt Bogong. This was a great way to experience a family holiday, with the owners of the caravan park being extremely hospitable, however, this is definitely not an option for those who want to head to the bush, and “rough it up” a tiny.
If you would like more information for those more adventurous campers, contacting Parks Victoria is your best and safest choice. Camping is usually only permitted 200 meters from any main roads within national park boundaries, so if you would like to camp in the National Parks you ideal bet is to either phone or check the Parks Victoria website for further information because these regulations can change seasonally.
In the Mt Hotham region, camping is available all the way along the Great Alpine Road, including at Diamantina Hut, perched in the perfect place for what is regarded as being the ideal views in Victoria. Camping also extends all the way towards the Dargo High Plains, which is less frequented, and ideal for those quiet weekends in the bush.
The most popular area for camping is on the Bogong High Plains themselves, with camping available at several popular locations such as Wallace Hut, Langford Gap, and at several other huts which can extend to being a few kilometers walk from any main road. Wallace Hut in particular receives massive numbers throughout the year, being the most photographed hut in Australia, it is understandable why this setting is most favored amongst families who go camping in Bright.
Yet another great place to spend a weekend away camping in Bright, Mountain Creek camping grounds, located just at the bottom of the beautiful Mt Bogong is defiantly the place to be. With a comfortable camping area, with what my partner would consider necessities, such as toilets and running water from Mountain Creek, makes your stay that much superior. Even though, My Bogong can get a lot of foot traffic in the summer months, laying under the stars at night with Mountain Creek bubbling softly in the background will take you mind off any troubles.
I could go on and on about all the areas in Bright that you could stay at. But I would make a few people a little upset with spilling their secret spots. I’ve many of my only tiny spots I like to go to either spend the night or sit and take in country Victoria. But the ideal part of this slice of Victoria is to just explore! Find your own little bit of paradise to come back to again and again. Packed already? Come and see Bright Victoria.
